Do you ...Linda, I want to try this place this week. Do you know if they close for lunch during the week on any particular day? I know many places are closed on Tuesday, and that's the day I'm heading out with a friend. We have been desperate for a new place to try and this looks good!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2359602529702907844.post-78294596658181017122011-12-28T21:58:06.773+09:002011-12-28T21:58:06.773+09:00Linda, can you send me your email address so that ...Linda, can you send me your email address so that I can send you three pictures? Back then Abe and Kiohara worked at the "Sound Shop" during the day and worked at the Blue Bird at night. I think I have a picture of the orignal owner and his wife. I'll try to dig them out soon. If I find some I'll forward them to you. Hope you had a great Holiday!!!!!Jay Jefferynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2359602529702907844.post-37410401975609298032011-12-27T14:58:12.012+09:002011-12-27T14:58:12.012+09:00Wow! I didn't go until it became a restaurant so I don't know "Abe". The last couple of times I went, there were just two ladies working there....one was the owner.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10292031121658435312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2359602529702907844.post-75551631914217878042011-12-26T06:36:27.237+09:002011-12-26T06:36:27.237+09:00Linda,
I was station there in the late 70"s ...Linda,
I was station there in the late 70"s and early 80's. I went to the Blue Bird about four times a week, as my friends "Abe" and "Kiohara" worked there. Back then it was a the "original" chicken wing and bar hangout, young crowd, good music and great conversation with locals. By chance would "Abe" still be working there? He tended bar back then. I believe the original owner passed away @ 1984 and his wife took over the place. deffinately one of the best kept secrets during my 5 years there. Thanks for bringing back fond memories.
Jay
jbjeffery@hotmail.comJay Jefferynoreply@blogger.com
